With more than 340 distinctive hotels worldwide, Autograph Collection brought travelers together through Autograph Moments—immersive signature experiences designed to reflect the individuality and heritage of each property. As part of this worldwide celebration, the resort hosted its Autograph Moment: the Balinese Blessing Ritual on Tilem Day, September 22, 2025.
In Balinese tradition, Tilem, or the New Moon, represents a new beginning and a sacred day of renewal and reflection.
It is a time of purification, introspection, and devotion, when offerings and prayers are dedicated to the Divine. Celebrated each month, Tilem embodies the Balinese way of maintaining harmony with the spiritual world.
During this celebration, guests embarked on a cultural and spiritual journey of cleansing and immersion.
Aligned with the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—harmony between people,
nature, and the divine—Amarterra’s Autograph Moment honored the soul of Bali while offering an enriching experience for its guests. In conjunction with this, guests were dressed in traditional Balinese attire and were welcomed with a refreshing Balinese herbal drink and canapés.
The event was officially opened by the General Manager of Amarterra Villas Resort Bali Nusa Dua, Lami Tjandi, who sounded the Kul Kul, a traditional bell that serves as a ceremonial signal for gathering.
The journey continued with hands-on cultural activities between our associates and in-house guests, creating Canang Sari and Gebogan offerings as symbols of gratitude to God, followed by a traditional Balinese parade to the resort’s Padmasana temple.
The highlight of the evening was the Balinese blessing ceremony, led by the resort priest. The ritual offered profound spiritual and emotional benefits.
Taking part in this ritual provided a meaningful way to connect with spiritual and cultural traditions, while nurturing emotional balance and a deeper sense of harmony with both oneself and the surrounding environment. The evening concluded with a sumptuous Balinese dinner at the resort’s iconic Candra Suriya Gate, accompanied by captivating
dance performances that celebrated the vibrant culture of Bali.
