Sthala, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Ubud Bali celebrates its 10th anniversary with 10 Years of Heritage, Hospitality & Heart, a programme created around the hotel’s connection with Balinese heritage, the people behind its hospitality, and the relationships built with guests and the local community.
The anniversary programme runs across September and October 2026, bringing together culinary experiences, local art, guest activities and a special anniversary dinner at Sthala’s riverside setting along the Wos River in Ubud.

To mark this milestone, Sthala will host a series of celebratory pre-events, including:
10-Days of Bali Culinary Heritage
From 30 September to 9 October 2026, Sthala presents Bali Culinary Heritage, a 10-day dining programme exploring traditional food from 10 regions across Bali.
Each day introduces a regional dish and its culinary story, bringing guests closer to Bali’s diverse food traditions. The programme includes dishes from Klungkung, Karangasem, Buleleng, Gianyar, Bangli, Jembrana, Tabanan, Badung, Denpasar and Sthala Ubud.
The programme also draws on the spirit of Megibung, a Balinese tradition of sharing food and conversation around one table.
The Story of Sthala: a 10-course tasting experience
From 25 September to 25 October 2026, Sungai Restaurant presents The Story of Sthala, a 10-course tasting menu created around the places, traditions and experiences connected to Sthala Ubud.
Each course represents a chapter of the Sthala story, with themes including Canang, Wos, Jungle, Ubud, Pertiwi, Agni, Sthala, Sawah, Sukha and Kenangan.
Local ingredients, Balinese flavours and contemporary presentation come together across the 10 courses, taking diners through a sequence inspired by gratitude, the Wos River, Ubud’s natural surroundings, village life, the land, traditional cooking, rice fields and memories.
The final course, Kenangan, brings the experience to a close with familiar Balinese aromas and flavours.
Ten Ubud Local Artists – Art Exhibition with Charity
Sthala will also present Ten Ubud Local Artists, an art exhibition celebrating 10 local artists from the Ubud area.
The exhibition brings together 10 artists for 10 days at the hotel’s Mezzanine on Level 6. The programme is created in collaboration with the local artists and gives guests an opportunity to purchase the art, in which 100% of it will be donated to support local community children’s education, as part of Sthala’s anniversary programme.
Daily Social Media Giveaway
The celebration extends to digital audiences with a Daily Social Media Giveaway throughout the campaign. Followers can win daily prizes ranging from Afternoon Tea to a BBQ Dinner, culminating in a grand prize: an exclusive one-night stay at Sthala Ubud Bali.
A time capsule for Sthala’s next 5 years
As part of the anniversary, Sthala will create a time capsule inviting guests and associates to write their wishes for Sthala’s next 5 years. The messages will be collected and ceremonially sealed during the anniversary gala, creating a record of the hopes and wishes shared by the people connected to Sthala at its 10-year milestone.
A Decade of Memories: An Unforgettable Evening with Shanty
The anniversary programme culminates in A Decade of Memories: An Unforgettable Evening with Shanty, an intimate riverside dinner taking place at Abing Terrace from 6 PM onward.
The evening will bring together a premium BBQ buffet dinner, free-flow alcoholic beverages, live entertainment and a performance by Shanty. Guests can also experience Ten Ubud Local Artists, take part in prize activities, and join the time capsule ceremony.
The evening begins with a Balinese dance performance, followed by an opening band and master of ceremonies before Shanty takes the stage. The event also includes a chance to win a 1-night stay at Sthala Ubud Bali, along with other prizes and a special 10th anniversary farewell gift for paying guests.
