THE LAUNCH OF MORA GROUP MARKS A NEW TRANSFORMATION IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY

MORA Group is proud to announce its official launch held on July 31, 2024, at MORAZEN Hotel Surabaya. The event was led by MORA Group’s CEO and Founder, Andhy Irawan, and attended by 200 guests from various industries, including strategic partners from Select Hotels Group Japan and Qin Group Banjarbaru, which focuses on Muslim-friendly hotels.

This launch not only marks a new chapter in Indonesia’s hospitality industry but also significantly impacts the national tourism sector. With partnerships with Select Hotel Group Japan and Qin Group, known for their Muslim-friendly concept, MORA Group aims to raise service standards and introduce innovative hospitality experiences that cater to diverse cultural preferences. This initiative is expected to enhance Indonesia’s appeal as a premier global tourist destination for both local and international travelers.

Andhy Irawan, CEO and Founder of MORA Group, stated, “With MORA Group’s vision ‘to be the first choice of trusted hospitality management,’ we have signed strategic partnerships with international partners such as Select Hotels Group from Japan, established in 2005, which now operates 50 hotels in Japan ranging from business to luxury categories. Qin Group from Banjarbaru, with two hotels in the three-star and four-star categories, is also building a five-star Muslim-friendly hotel in South Kalimantan, Samarinda, and Solo.”

Nakamura, CEO and Founder of Select Hotel Japan, added, “We see great potential in Indonesia, and through this partnership, we hope to bring the values of Japanese service excellence to this dynamic market. Our projected hotel unit, KANRAKU, will offer guests in Indonesia a stay experience reminiscent of being in Japan.”

Haji Norhin, CEO and Founder of Qin Group, also remarked, “This partnership opens new opportunities to provide hospitality services friendly to Muslim travelers in Indonesia. We are also exploring several regions in Morocco and Medina for Qin Group’s business expansion plans.”

The name MORA is inspired by four core pillars: Meaningful, Optimism, Responsible, and Adaptive. MORA Group is committed to delivering meaningful service, fostering optimism among business partners, guests, and employees, being responsible towards the environment and community, and adapting to changes and developments in the hospitality industry.

MORA Group began strengthening its business units in January 2024 with premium up-scale hotels named MORAZEN, currently operating in Surabaya and Yogyakarta, as well as exclusive mid-scale hotels named HEMORA and economic plus hotels named LAMORA. MORA Group is also exploring partnerships with investors to expand into Bandung, Jakarta, Surabaya, and Banyuwangi with the LAMORA and HEMORA brands.

In response to rapid technological advancements, MORA Group will adopt its own digital operational management system to manage all assets and properties, ensuring more effective and efficient control between investors, hotel units, and operators.
